Places we will visit
Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun): An ancient Inca temple dedicated to the Sun God, which was later converted into a colonial church.
Sacsayhuaman: An imposing Inca fortress located on the outskirts of the city, with megalithic walls and a panoramic view of Cusco.
Q'enqo which means (labyrinth) in Quechua contains sections of very impressive hand-carved rocks, although some are now almost blurred, as different animals have been identified carved on it, as well as. the llama, condor and snakes.
Puka Pukara also called (the red fortress) in Quechua. This is a small site and although the name indicates that it was a fortress, it seems not to have had any defensive purpose.
Tambomachay means (resting place) in Quechua. It was the royal home of the Inca Yupanqui when he went hunting in the surrounding area. It was also thought that this site had been used as a Water Temple.
