We start our trip early in the morning, after picking up all our hikers we will head towards Ollantaytambo. Where those who wish to have breakfast do it, then we will continue until Km. 82 Piscacucho (2,700 masl.), place where is located the Entrance Control to the Inca Trail, then begin the walk to Machu Picchu, after 2 hours of walking we will arrive to Llaqtapata (2,750 masl.) archaeological site of Inca building that will be explained by our guide. After our visit to this interesting place we will have lunch, prepared by our experienced cook and his team, which will surely leave you amazed by its gastronomy. After lunch we will continue with our hike to our first camp in Wayllabamba (3,000 masl.). Finally, a well deserved rest, we will have lunch and then dinner, to spend the night.
In the morning after breakfast we will continue the trek, this time we will ascend slightly for 9 Km. towards the Warmiwañusca pass (4,200 masl.). It is the highest point of the Inca Trail, which is a path with stairs that makes it heavier and harder for the legs, it is recommended to do it without haste at the pace of each one, without worrying that the group will leave us. Once all the members of the group are reunited we will continue, but this time descending also by stairs; in this section we will be able to appreciate a variety of flora and will have views that make this Inca Trail unique, then we will arrive to our 2nd camp in Pacaymayo (3,600 masl.). Where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Después del desayuno continuaremos nuestra caminata este tramo es de 16 km. lleno de vegetación y cantidad de sitios arqueológicos incas de diferentes funciones. El primer sitio arqueológico que visitaremos será Runkurakay (3,970 msnm.) que es otro complejo arqueológico Inca a manera de torreones que posee un sitio estratégico de vigilancia.
Luego continuamos a Chaquicocha, donde tendremos el almuerzo, continuamos hasta Phuyupatamarka (que significa lugar o pueblo encima de las nubes), en la ruta pasaremos dentro de un túnel labrado en roca y seguiremos rumbo a Wiñaywayna, otro maravilloso complejo en donde pernoctaremos. El recorrido es de 8 horas lleno de bellos paisajes y vegetación en Wiñaywayna.
Very early 3:30 am and after breakfast we will continue the walk towards the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, we will pass through the last checkpoint and continue to the Inti Punku (Sun Gate) and then to Machu Picchu. We will have a majestic panoramic view of Machu Picchu, then you will have your guided tour of the place full of history, along with the guide will tour the most important and outstanding sites of the sectors of the ancient Inca City (Agricultural and Religious Sector), then you can have free time to take more pictures, and explore the archaeological site on your own. Then we will go down by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, here you will meet your guide so you can share the last lunch (optional and not included in the price of the tour) then we go to the train station to return to the town of Ollantaytambo, finally by tourist bus to the city of Cusco.
About the Porters:
The work done by the porters, is to carry during the whole trip, all the luggage of the group (tents, kitchen, utensils, water, food, equipment, chairs, tables, etc.), Tourists carry their personal luggage, a backpack with things for personal use (clothes, cosmetics, ointments, canteen, flashlight, matra, sleeping bag etc...), if the tourist would not wish to carry his personal things (which happens rarely), he must hire an extra porter for him to carry his personal things. The price is USD 130.00 for the first 3 days, the 4th day is not necessary (the porter contract will be coordinated internally).
